I recently enjoyed a family vacation at Sunseeker Cottages Motel in Paihia, New Zealand. Traveling with two couples, we appreciated having two-bedroom accommodations, which are surprisingly hard to come by. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Jill, the friendly owner, who provided great local tips. With a stunning 18-hole golf course nearby, we couldn’t resist a round soaking in the fantastic sea views. For those who prefer relaxation, the beach is just a short walk away, complete with several local cafés and restaurants perfect for a family meal. The kids loved the DVD player and library of movies for quiet nights in. Our cottage was comfortable, featuring a gas BBQ on the veranda, though air conditioning would have been a welcome addition during the warmer evenings. It was refreshing to find such well-maintained facilities in a charming, quiet location. We had a fantastic time, explored the Bay of Islands, and would definitely consider returning. If you're searching for a family-friendly atmosphere, Sunseeker is definitely worth a look!
